My name is April Trulove, and I am a proud Partner at Martin Insurance Group, with strong roots in the Roaring Fork Valley. After graduating from Roaring Fork High School, I earned a full-ride volleyball scholarship to Northeastern Junior College and later, the University of West Florida, where I studied sports and exercise science. Following a brief time in Florida, my love for the valley brought me back to Carbondale in 2006. I began my career in the insurance industry as a part-time receptionist at Steve Martin Insurance, eventually transitioning to a full-time role in the Group Benefits Department. I never thought that I would be working in the Insurance Industry, but I learned that helping people is my passion, and it was that passion for helping people that led me to purchase Steve Martin's shares of the company upon his retirement.

I now have a wonderful husband and two amazing children, Talon and Tatum.  We enjoy camping with friends, boating, dirt biking, off roading, BMX racing, competitive beach volleyball and trips to the beach (I am still passionate about weight training).  I have also been stepping back into the Volleyball scene and helping coach the Carbondale Middle School Volleyball team.  I am looking forward to spending more time in the gym with the middle school team to help develop fundamentals that will carry through to High School. I must thank my clients and team for their trust and referrals as I would not be where I am today without you.

I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Colorado in 2007 to enjoy the mountain lifestyle. I began working in the insurance industry in 2016 in the High Rockies and started with Martin Insurance Group in 2021 with the Personal Lines department. I take pride in being a knowledgeable local agent who listens with care and patience.

I’ve been a long time Eagle County resident with my hound Myrtle. I enjoy snowboarding, hiking in the backcountry and camping with the pup, rafting, or relaxing in a hammock listening to music.

My name is Lucas Huttenhower, I am driven to provide adequate insurance coverage for our clients. I specialize in personal lines insurance and have a passion for building relationships with all my clients. My goal is to listen to needs and find the best option for personal insurance for each one of my clients.

I was born and raised in Glenwood Springs, CO. When I am not at work you can find me coaching my son’s sports teams or playing golf with my family. Growing up in Colorado gave me a passion for the outdoors including rafting, camping, hunting, and fishing.

I was born in Texas and moved to Carbondale, Colorado as a young adult—so I consider myself a ‘Native’. I've been involved in personal lines insurance since the 90’s and joined the Martin Insurance Group staff working for Mo Shalabi inearly 2012.

I live in Glenwood Springs with my husband Doug and have three adult children (and 7 grandchildren under age 11) with spouses living in the Denver and Glenwood areas. Time away from work is enjoyed with family and friends at TheOrchard church, reading, staying fit with outdoor exercise, and continuing my love of cooking.

I am a born and raised Northern New Mexican. I currently live in Albuquerque New Mexico with hopes of moving back to my hometown, Cuba New Mexico. I came to the Martin Insurance Group with over 8 years of insurance experience and a passion for commercial coverage.

In my off time I enjoy volunteering in my community as well as rescuing and fostering dogs and cats. I raise money in New Mexico to help others pay for the lifesaving treatments they need for their furry best friends. I am very passionate about my family, my hometown and saving animals. I am so excited to be joining the Martin Insurance Group team!

MS – Civil Engineering – West Virginia UniversityMBA – Colorado UniversityI have experience in commercial & personal lines insurance, civil engineering, technical sales, residential and commercial construction, product development, project management, and commercial real estate development. My goal is to protect our customers’ investments by providing comprehensive insurance consultation and service. Commercial insurance can be complicated, which is why businesses rely on us to place proper coverage.  That said, it’s important for our customers to understand basic commercial insurance concepts, and one of my assets is communicating those concepts in language that’s easy to understand.

I am a Pennsylvania native and moved to Colorado in 1996.  Interests include most all outdoor activities along with sports, cooking, gardening, motorcycles, and music.

I was born and raised in Manitou Springs, Colorado, where I developed a love for the outdoors and the Colorado lifestyle.  After attending college at the University of San Diego, I moved back to Colorado to pursue my passion for snowboarding and the mountains.  With a few years at Vail Resorts under my belt, I found a long-term career with Martin Insurance Group in 2017 and have been here ever since.

I now live permanently in Eagle, Colorado with my wife, Brooklyn, daughter Marlee, two cats and one dog.  I am an avid snowboarder, mountain biker, and musician.  If things don’t work out in the insurance industry, you can catch me and my bluegrass band, Danger Mountain, picking away our sorrows at your local music venue.  Go Broncos!

Born and raised in Florida, I moved to Colorado in 2003. I always wanted to live in the mountains since I visited Colorado in the 90s. I joined Martin Insurance in 2011 as a temp for the summer and never left.  I love working at Martin Insurance. It’s important to me to be able to help my clients understand their insurance.  Having relationships with my clients has been one of the best accomplishments for me.

I live in Glenwood Springs with my son, James.  I enjoy the area and all the fun activities that are nearby.  I enjoy walking downtown and the shops and restaurants are fun.  Music in the park is one of the events I look forward to every year.  My little community is quiet, and my neighbors are the best.  

I come from a long background of Customer Service and Retail experience and decided after being at Target for 10 years, it was time for a change. I’m brand new to the insurance industry and it’s a lot to learn, but I’m expecting to stay at Martin Insurance for years to come and never stop learning. No matter where I’ve worked, I’ve been the “go to guy” when it comes to getting things done and I don’t expect that to be any different at MIG.

I’m looking forward to applying my experience to help our customers get the coverage that they need at an affordable price and building relationships in the process, so I know exactly what our clients need. I'm originally from Lakeland, Florida, but now I live in Colorado and love it here. My main hobbies are gaming and keeping up with the latest movies and TV series. When I'm not indoors, I enjoy taking walks in the Colorado mountains. I couldn't see myself living anywhere else now.

I grew up in Summit County and have lived and worked here in the valley seasonally for several years. I settled here permanently after graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder with my Computer Science degree.

Now, as a Claims Specialist at Martin Insurance Group, I get to work one on one with our clients, and it’s my goal that every client I work with feels like they have someone in their corner to advocate for them.

When I’m not at the office you can find me rafting, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, climbing, biking, or snuggling with my dog. The valley has been the perfect playground for all my favorite outdoor activities.

As a dedicated professional with a strong background in sales and services management for retail and banking, I began my journey at Martin Insurance Group in 2020.  For over 20 years, I have cultivated my passion for graphic design, video production, and various computer design applications, enhancing my versatility as far as I could. I also operate in the IT world, spending most of my life studying computer and network maintenance to provide seamless solutions to technical issues.

Outside of the office, I am a multi-instrumentalist musician who finds joy in all music, and my love for cooking ensures my wife and I are well fed in perpetuity. Also, as a 3D print enthusiast, I relish the opportunity to bring ideas to life, and this along with my fascination with electronics leads me to build various creations. In every aspect of my life, I strive for growth and continuous learning, both professionally and personally.

I come to Martin Insurance Group with a banking background.  After 20 years with Alpine Bank I decided to give the insurance business a go by being the offices part time receptionist, data entry specialist, supply coordinator and all around party planner.   I love being at the front desk helping and directing our customers as well as my coworkers.  

I'm from North Adams, Massachusetts. My hobbies include art, sewing, crafts, and beading. I'm interested in art, history, and old architecture. My family is made up of my husband Jesse, and our two cats, Emma and Ella, who I love immensely. I enjoy the beach and hope to live there someday.
